Following Jesus always leads to action. Whether you are exploring Christianity or ready to commit more deeply, the next step is to hear God’s Word, belong to a local church, and grow in faith alongside others.
At BCC, next steps include learning the gospel, joining the church in worship, living in community, and serving one another as members of the body of Christ.

If Brant Community Church feels like a place where you want to belong, membership is the next step. Church membership is a meaningful commitment to live as part of a local church family, under God’s Word, alongside fellow believers.
Membership at BCC begins with Discovering BCC, a class designed to explain what we believe, how we live together as a church, and what it means to commit to one another as members. You’ll learn about our Statement of Faith and the responsibilities and joys of membership.
Discovering BCC runs several times each year. To learn about the next class or to speak with an elder, please contact the church office at bcc@brantcc.ca.

No. You will see anything from shorts and flip-flops to suits and ties and dresses.
We are a non-denominational Christian evangelical church. We are conservative in our theology but we are contemporary in our methods.
Baptism in water by immersion is a direct commandment of Jesus and is for believers only. Baptism is an ordinance symbolic of the Christian's identification with Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection.
The Lord's Supper, also known communion, is an affirmation of our relationship with Jesus where we remember what Jesus sacrificed for us on the cross. We observe communion once a month at BCC believing that the bread and the fruit of the vine are symbolic of the body and blood of Jesus. All Christians are welcome to participate in communion at BCC.
Child dedication is not a command in scripture, but is consistent with the instructions of Jesus. He said, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God." Luke 18:15–17. Child dedication is a moment for the parents to commit to bringing up the kids in the knowledge of the Lord, and for the church to affirm their commitment to discipling, praying for and loving these families and these children.
We believe that in a broader sense all healing is divine. We encourage consultation with medical professionals in matters of physical health and with other professionals in matters of emotional and relational challenges.
In addition to the healing that comes through natural processes and medical means, we believe that at times God directly intervenes in the life of individuals to initiate and complete healing. We put into practice James' instructions to the young church: "Is anyone of you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint him."
We pray and we wait for God's gracious healing in our lives and in the lives of those whom we love. We do not believe that everyone is healed in the way that we would expect and hope.
Yes. We recognize that people walk through many different seasons and challenges in life, and we believe no one has to face those alone. Our pastors are available to meet with members to offer care, guidance, and prayer as they walk through these seasons.
In addition, we offer a number of support groups and care ministries that are designed to provide encouragement, biblical guidance, and community for those who need it.
We believe that Christians should be cheerful and sacrificial in their giving and that an offering to God is not a donation, but rather a representative portion of what he has entrusted to us. At BCC we don't take a formal offering during the service, however there are offering boxes at all doors exiting the auditorium and ways to give online.
We believe a marriage should be entered into with discretion, wisdom, and recognition that it is a marvellous gift from God to both the couple and the families involved. We believe a marriage begins with a wedding with both parties committed to Jesus Christ as Lord of their lives and home. As a result of this conviction, all weddings at BCC must be approved by our pastors and those desiring to be married should be active members of BCC and be willing to attend pre-marital counseling sessions.
Discovering BCC is the next step for those considering membership at Brant Community Church. This class explains our beliefs, church life, and what it means to commit to one another as members.
Classes are held several times a year. To learn more or connect with an elder, please contact the church office.
There are many opportunities for serving at Brant Community Church. Visit the Next Steps page of our website for more information. Some of our serving opportunities in the areas of teaching and leadership require a person be a member at BCC or working towards it.
